I am looking for an article about home growing of worm for fertilization. I am trying to finish a comprehensive article that I wrote in my website about the use of earthworms in gardening.

I moved my mouse over your artical link and it showed "easyorganicgardenguide.com", but when I googled you I didn't find anything...Not to be mistrustful, but I am not about to click on your link. Especially since this is your first post. Sorry.

Omer - there are tons, & tons, & TONS of info on the internet & in print about raising worms for producing fertilizer for the garden, as well as how to amend your garden soil to attract earthworms. While connected, they're essentially two different things.

Why don't you actually do some research for your "comprehensive article"? Pretend you're back in school.

If you do a google search "how to raise earth worms", you'll get a whole slew of web pages with info on worms. Click on a few web sites and see what you can find. A good article on worms can be found here .

You could try raising your own worms for first hand knowledge. I have a vermicomposter I bought from 4seasongreenhouses on the net. It works extremely well. Yesterday I harvested 1/2 bushel of black gold from 2 trays of the worm factory. I find first hand knowledge is what most people want to hear from the "experts" anyway. It's the Yankee way of life.

The best way to raise earthworms is to get your soil into good condition by adding things such as compost and other organic matter. What you are talking about is Vermicomposting and while that can be helpful once your soil is in good condition the amount of worm castings needed to get there is simply way above most people ability to have it produced.

For some subjects...history of the invention of the airplane, technical aspects of manned spaceflight, operation of a nuclear powerplant, et cetera, You can look up information in the library, familiarize yourself with the literature, read websites or whatever, and you can write a pretty good article.

Verimicomposting ain't one of those subjects. If you haven't tried it yourself, you have NOTHING worthwhile to tell anyone, and you are just asking us to write an article for you.

Mulch where you can
Weed when you have to
Till if you must
It's all part of the plan

Dear Kimm1 and others interested in having the best fertilizer on earth:
The average person canhave an endless supply of vermicompost by raising worms in a worm factory. The worm factory actually makes it easy to have all the vermicompost you want. You can check out how it works on the website where I purchased my worm factory, 4seasongreenhouses.com, and they have a blog also at that address only .net. With plenty of vermicompost on hand you can use it in everything. My houseplants really perked up with vermicompost tea.
