Does anybody know what are the exact mineral nutrients in winter cover crops like crimson clover, austrian winter peas, hairy vetch, and winter rye?
I have these cover crops growing in my garden now, getting ready to green manure them in about 2 months here in Alabama. I know that any green cover crop pulls some N-P-K from the soil, and also some calcium. But what other micronutrients does it pull up? The fact that it pulls calcium, is that the real reason it that the green manure improves or raises the pH in the soil later? Can anybody help me? |
