Whenever my husband starts crabbing about my garden, or making disparaging comments about it, I simply say that it is my THERAPY. I will CONTINUE to tend my garden because a.) It is WAY cheaper than a "shrink", and b.) I don't have to worry about losing my security clearance. It helps restore my balance (or keep it there) vent my frustrations (pulling weeds and digging holes for planting is a GREAT way to "vent"), renew my ties with Mother Earth, and just be at peace with the world.

There are not too many better ways to ground negative energy that has accumulated than getting barefoot and digging into Mother Earth.

In summer I garden, in winter I bake. both are great tension relievers, both smell great, and both give you something to show for it when you're done!-LJB

everything starts with a seed
