We have the kind of passion vine with edible fruit--it has a flower, too, but not quite as showy as the ornamental varieties. I have two little plants I started from cuttings. We got our plant not much more than two years ago, in a 5 gallon pot, and now it covers at least 40 feet of fence! I haven't noticed any seedlings coming up yet. --J--
You should always have a plant B.

I can't remember which way I did the ones that turned out. I usually start cuttings either by putting them in water and seeing if they root (sometimes they root, sometimes they rot ), or else sticking them in some potting soil. When I do that, I usually use a rooting hormone, usually just the powdered Rootone one.
I don't have a really high success rate with a lot of my cuttings (some plants are way easier to start than others) so I start lots of cuttings and usually end up with at least a couple of the plants I'm trying to start. --J--
