How many of you go back into the threads, and if you do how far back do you go??

Honestly, I never go back beyond the first page of each forum. Are there new posts back there? I have enough trouble keeping up; I almost don't wanna know! I do check back on every thread on the FIRST page, that I am following, that has an exclamation point beside it. I'm learning stuff from you guys, by the way: thanks!

I set my Show ME xxx Messages to 100, that covers more than a week. I also discovered the Search this Forum feature, right handy for locating similar topics. Finally, the Archives contain lots of good info.

I'm like Linda, only looking at the first page of each forum. Even towards the bottom of the page there are very few red exclamation points so I figure there is even less activity on past pages.

I've also used the search feature once in a while.

Someone mentioned the idea that new posts should automatically rise to the top and that sounds like a good idea to me!

If there was a topic that several people were responding to and it was something that I was also interested in I will, at times, go back several pages to see what new information might be there. Most of the time the current page is all I have time for and it's always full of good information........Now if someone will please tell me the name of my ground cover, (see message today).....thanks.

I just changed my Show Me messages to 100 and it works great! One of my beefs was that if I went to the next group of threads, looked at a mess. and then returned to the Forum, it took me back to the first page! This will simplify things for me-

Have gone back a couple page on occcasion, but stay most on first page. Love the forums and love conversing with all this knowledge.

use your back button and it will take you back to the page that you were last reading and you can avoid going to the first page of the forum you were visiting. peace be with you and may your garden be easier to use then a computer.

The only problem with using the back button is if I read a number of messages on that thread, I have to "back out" a number of times to be able to get back to the page I was visiting. Sometimes it's easier to go to the top of the page and click onto whatever forum I'm in and then scroll down to the thread I want to visit(unless it's in the next group of threads).

Only, if there was a really good question, to see if there are more responses. Or, if I responded to a thread, to see if someone responded back to me. I sometimes don't log on for two or three days at a time. I will look to see what I have missed. Not too long ago there was a really good "conversation" going on between to regulars to this forum, while I was away. I had a good time staying up late to catch up on that one. Whoo! Thanks for the knowledge and entertainment Ya'll.

So I go to the bottom of the page and change to "show me 100 messages per page" and it stays that way for one viewing and then goes back to 50 messages per page. How do I permanently change it to 100 messages per page for ALL Forums? I'm sure it's very easy to do but I'm not exactly computer savvy-

A matter of "cache" ie settings are saved in a temp. file.
Try hitting Refresh often, that should help.

I generally only go back to what is done loaded or the date I was last logged in.
