Someone here said they were getting some Doyle Blackberries. I was wondering how they worked out & if they were all they were touted to be.

Muddy knees David! Compost is my friend. Every day I enroll in gardening school. Some days it feels like kindergarten!

Me too!!! Have been looking at their ads in OG and keep thinking how good they sound (and easy to pick).

I would like to know too.. My wild blackberries are rather finicky about their relationship with other plants, especially when it comes to water.. and guess what.. my sandy soil hasn't been getting the rainfall it needs over the last 2-3 weeks! So I have had the berry producing vines turn brown and die.

I went to the farmer's market and was green with envy of the folks that had blackberries they had picked on their horse farm.... BIG BERRIES! I knew there was a reason my family always went berry picking at places that let the blackberries grown in their pastures. MANURE on the Berries! A good thing.
