The thread about double digging got me wondering, and I had to go looking through cyber space to learn what exactly the fuss is about. I had *heard* of double digging, but I have always known I would sheet mulch (lasagna) my yard (purely out of laziness of course), so had never bothered to find out what exactly double digging is (other than hard work, which is something I try to avoid).
Anyway, my search turned up a cute website by a chick who's revamping (? revamped--it's not clear how up-to-date the site is) her backyard in Sacto, and it looks like she's primarily (if not entirely) organic. AND, she promises never to double-dig again, now that she's tried lasagna.
