Good morning all!
I've done lasagna layering in small pieces, but never for a whole plot. I just got another plot about 2 feet by 4 feet, and I don't want to dig it up, so I thot I'd try lasagna for the whole thing.

This is what I have in mind, pls tell me what you think. This was a garden plot a few yrs ago. Keep in mind, I don't need perfection, just to get something to grow this year - some herbs and annuals.

I'm thinking 3-4 inches newspaper, 2 inches wood chips, 3-4 inches compost.

thanks,
ellen

I think 3 to 4 INCHEs of newspaper would be real overkill and is unnecessary, 4 to 6 pages would be more than adequate. If you have not seen this website it is one of the best about Lasagan Gardening I have found since Pat Lanzas went to subscription.

The sign of a good gardener is not a green thumb, it is brown knees.
