I'm trimming a big cactus I have. Do you think the trimming can go in my compost?

Congratulations on your coming aboard on our
Forum.
Yes, I use just about anything for my composts.
Except, "poisonous oleandar" and "poisonous Plumeria" right now. And I'm careful with my
ivy(s). Just about anything to build up the
"HUMUS" in my garden soil.
This saves on water and fertilizer, besides
trying to be "ORGANIC"
GOOD LUCK,

Cactus is organic matter. Organic matter is what we put into compost. Yes. But be careul in working with your compost because of the spines. Because of the thorns on rose canes some people will not compost them, but that is not a really good reason not to.

The sign of a good gardener is not a green thumb, it is brown knees.
