So, I have a few books that I favor in my organic library: Colemans' New Organic Grower and Four Season Harvest, Ogden's Straight Ahead Organic, Rodale's Guide to Composting. What are your faves out there?
Also, I have been thinking about Seed to Seed for a few years now--anyone have that or another (better?) seed-saving book?

I love the Howard Garrrett (Dirt Doctor) books on organic gardedning, and Malcolm Beck's books on composting.
seeds of change by kenneth ashbaugh and gardening for the future of the earth by shapiro and harrison. john jeavons also has a few good ones out there. seed to seed is great. also try bill mollisons books on permaculture as well as rodales guide to herbs. there are several more on the market i enjoy but then i kind of shift toward herbal references after that. hope i could help.
I have an old edition of the Rodale Encyclopedia--useful, but I'm thinking I should update with a new copy. (I think it's from the 60s). I also have The Garden Primer--which I haven't found very useful lately, but maybe that's because it's still in a box in the basement.
I enjoyed Weedless Gardening by Lee Reich. My absolute favorite is The Bountiful Containier by McGee and Stuckey. The last few years my only option has been containers and this is a godsend. For pure fun Zen Gardening or Chicken soup for the Gardenr's soul are good.
I use Rodales Encyclopedia of Organic Gardening. I usually find the info I need even though the book is over 20 years old. I bet it's soon time for a new one.
