I would like to get some raspberrie plants. What would everyone remend for varities? I'm look for good eating with disease resistance & hardy to zone 4 (wisconsin)& good producer.
If an everbearer is okay, "Heritage" satisfies your criteria pretty well. That's what I'm growing and mine have done reasonably well considering the soil I'm growing them in is about as crappy as you can get. The berries aren't huge but they are very tasty and hold up well.

My autumn golds have done the best out of any I have planted. They are really tasty and pretty too. They do produce late, but they were done fruiting (abundantly)up here in zone 4 before the cold temps set in this fall. It really depends on the year, though. We could get winter weather starting in October - it just depends.
I'm in zone 6A. I've had good luck with Lathum, Heritage and Autumn bliss. I had Autumn Gold and loved them but lost them one very Icy winter. Plus for some reason the wasp love the god raspberries. They seem to get 'drunk' on them so they are real easy to thump on their heads.

Hi Gary! I really suggest that you suck up to someone that has a patch and will give you some rummers from there place.....its free that way and you have a sure bet. I live in Wisc. also. I did order some from a company and got some from a friend, guess what is still growing? Sue
