The fire ants that were living across the street, not getting in anyone's way, have migrated into my front yard. They're living two feet from where I put my trash out, and I'd hate for anyone to get attacked. Anyone know of an organic way to get rid of the little boogers?

If you can be persistant, a good dousing with the hose often works. Disturb the mound and then wash them out. You may need to repeat this process a couple of times a week until they go. Good luck.

Try a couple of squirts of Dawn dishsoap in a bucket of hot water.

Amonia works well. Add a few cups to a pail of water. Disrupt the nest with a shovel and pour the water on.
