An old pair of overalls that I bought for about $10.00 at a flea market, to cover my good office clothes, or just my underwear when I'm in a hurry.

My miner's headlight for night gardening after dark, on busy days. The light fits either on my baseball cap or my big gardening sun hat, depending on the weather and temperature.

A pair of hiking boots or old sneakers for shoes. The boots are more comfortable on busy days on my feet.

T shirt and Shorts. Mud, cold, heat or rain. Tennis shoes with short socks. Gray leather work gloves
When it is cold, cold, sweat shirt over T.

Oh yeah repellent too.

DW bundles up. She does the no-aerobic duty items mostly. Hat, gloves, shades
I do the digging, carrying, pulling, spraying, hanging so I stay warm

Usually I wear whatever I am wearing when I get home from work-just for watering and picking around the edges most of the time. If there is a lot of digging or weed pulling I put on a t-shirt and shorts most of the time. That is my weekend gardening attire also. Heck, its my weekend attire period! I usually wear my tennis shoes in the garden...sometimes my slippers if its not muddy. When it gets cooler, shorts are exchanged for jeans or sweat pants and sweatshirts for t-shirts or layered with both. When it's really cold, no use being in the garden...snuggle up with a good book and have a warm green tea and try to relax, except I have 3 children, DH, 1 cat, 2 kittens, and 1 dog all in the house too. Not much relaxing going on here! Jane

Really oooold jeans if I'm digging anywhere that poison ivy or other itchies might hide, or shorts if doing more stand-up work; old tees that are well past their prime, perhaps a sweatshirt if cool; garden gloves; and - the best - my rubber garden muck shoes. I LOVE those shoes!

Warm: shorts and tee, flip-flops and hat

Cool: sweats top and bottom, socks and clogs

I have an entire dresser drawer of "gardening" clothes so that I don't get tempted to wear something decent outside. Occasionally I'll screw up a perfectly good work outfit by staying outside too long between car and house.

My neighbors are continually shocked when they see me decent with hair and face done. It's not "make-up" - it's "miracle-go." :^O

Whoa, I'm still trying to envision Mr. Cureton going outside in his underwear! Are those boxers or briefs Captain?

I have 2 pairs of my grandfathers old, very worn pajama bottoms that I wear with a T-shirt. Hair is up in a ponytail and a wet dishcloth is around my neck (great for keeping cool and wiping my face). On my feet are last years Anywears, wonderful rubber clogs. In the heat of summer they can turn into little ovens though so sometimes I'll wear flip flops. If I ever get a dang digital camera, wouldn't it be fun for us all to post pictures of ourselves in our gardening get-ups? Can't wait to see Gardenz and CaptainCompost!

Shorts,t shirt, shades, socks and Rockport walking boots. Hat when the broiler is on; old long pants and old cotton pull over sweater over t shirt when cold weather hits. Cheap cotton garden gloves when using serious tools or when working in dirt with fire ants. Flip flops for quick trips; this is a mistake as the ants usually get me. I've been considering a pair of garden clogs. Hopefully and most important of all....a smile!

I go barefoot as long as I can (hence the name) I find it easier washing my feet then my shoes, plus it just feels so good. Other than that shorts (with pocket-room) and a T-shirt, or in the early and late season I find myself wearing a raincoat and jeans.
