Hey all,

I planted cauli way back in April. No heads on those til lately. I kept them in after hearing they may grow in fall.

The growth of leaves has pushed some plants over. Can I cut back the leaves, even ones not on the bottom?

Second, the cauli growing is surrounded by a tight configuration of leaves. Is this okay? It seems like because of the huge amount of foliage they are hidden too deeply in the plant.

Do you need to see photos to help?

Thanks!
Julianne

That you have plants that have lots of leaves indicates most probably that the soil nutrient levels are not in balance, Nitrogen, Phosphorus, and Potash, as well as many of the micro nutrients. When was a good, reliable soil test last done? What did that soil test show? What has been done to get that soil in balance?
