Has anyone had success in growing crepe myrtle in zone 6 in the ground, or zone 5 in a container? If so, what varieties have you found to be the most hardy?

I don't personally have one but I have several clients that do, they grow very well here. I don't know what varieties they are but can try and find out.

Crepe Myrtles grow wonderfully around here in MD. My dad has a few, and many boulevards and shopping centers have them. I love them. I've seen a few different sizes and colors. I think you need full sun, but we have them and they're great!
