I garden at 6500 ft in the high desert of central Idaho. Last year I had problems with all my winter squash and pumpkins. They started to grow, but when the fruits were an inch or so in diameter, the fruits shriveled up and fell off. We seemed to have bees around. Similar results were reported by other gardeners in the valley. Any ideas why? Or what to do?
