So I did this today. I am going to use an umbrella to create shade. An artist friend of mine made the sign from the front of an old upright piano!!

Oh My Goodness! I almost missed this posting!

I Love That table!

What color is the umbrella going to be? I vote for RED! It will help catch the shopper's eye.

What are the surface measurements of your counter top? Looks like a nice size.

Does the other side have a money tray, or will you be keeping your money in your pocket? Smiler

That's beautiful! How big is the top? Do you haul this back and forth? I would love to have something like this but since I have to haul all my wares and displays in one trip I have to stick with boring folding tables.

That's gorgeous!!

I'm always in total awe of artsy/craftsy/handy folks. I come from a very artistic family, yet apparently those genes went haywire when they assembled in me. Wink

So, here are the specs of my garden cart:

Top is 3'x5', the recycled top from an old desk buried in the shed. I planned the frame to fit it.

Framing is all 2x3s. I use those when I'm not doing anything super structural because they are cheaper. 2.5" coated sinkers are my framing nail of choice.

4-10" pneumatic wheels, on sale at TSC in January for $5 each. Axles are 1" threaded rods. Everything is held in place with a few nuts and washers.

All the paint was leftover from other projects.

Big umbrella from a closeout place for $10. It's a bright, limey green. They didn't have red...that was my thought, too.

This is a self-serve stand, so I'll have a money box screwed down onto the top.

Total cost of this project <$45.

Thanks for the encouragement! I love making stuff like this happen!
