Anybody have any suggestions on what to spray daylilies with that have been infected with rust?
It's a new rust that was imported to this country in 1999. It's made it's way from the Caribean into the US and Canada. More have it than not now. The usual way seems to be spraying with a rotation of several different fungicides. Way too many weird chemicals for me! The spraying seems to be pretty non stop, especially in the southern states. Here's a great link about the rust:
Go to Gardensalive.com . This is an organic gardening website. They have a SoapShield Fungicidal Soap that can be used on anything. Repeat sprays every 7-10 day, as long as conditions favor rust infection. Remove and distroy diseased leaves in the fall. I have used this product myself, and it works wonderful.
