Not sure what did in this Blue Hubbard, not real worried as long as others don't look sick. It happens. I pulled this out and burned it (had some other papers to burn later anyway):
These leaves I think where mechanically damaged. Whatever, they were sickly and when I turned them over they had both Squash Bugs & Cucumber Beetles. Into the fire they went, too. Bugs like attacking sickly plants (or just sickly leaves) so no sense having 'em around:
Too late for a complete post-mortem to determine COD now (as is often the case with religions that require quick disposal of the body.)
I've seen similar results from the effects of vine borers. Did you notice any disturbance where the vine enters the soil, perhaps a hole with a little pile of "sawdust" nearby? That's a possiblility since the vine looks as if it may have been healthy right up to a sudden, fatal event such as a borer cutting off the flow of moisture from the roots to the leaves.
As a precaution, I usually bury long squash vines periodically where a leaf stem meets the vine. New roots will form there and act as an insurance policy in case borers hit the stem near the roots.
This may be old news to you Matt, but perhaps it may help others. It reminded me to go out and start mounding soil along the Hubbard and pumpkin vines.
