Please provide more info about Advanced Master Gardener program. I have never heard of same . I'll graduate from the Master Gardener program next month and might want to do something else..
One person I know is a "Lifetime Master Gardener" but the only info I got was that it was for 750 or 1000 hrs. of voluntarism. Thanks. Michelle

To get the Advanced Master Gardener designation I had to attend more classes and put in more volunteer hours than just for maintaining my Master Gardener status. Since it varies from state to state its difficult to say what needs be done, if your state Cooperative Extension Servcie even offers that designation. We too have some people that have the "Life Master Gardener" designation and that is just from accumulating enough volunteer hours and 750 hours sounds about right. When our association was in the process of developing the "Monet Garden" some of the members working on that accumulated a lot of hours because to the time put in, but many of them are also Advanced Master Gardeners and took the extra classes to get there.
