i have a question for everyone.will birdseed be poisonous to my dogs? how about sunflower seeds? i want to put some feeders in the backyard but that area belongs to the dogs....one of them probably would not eat it but the other one eats ANYTHING....i think she is part goat.thanks in advance for all the advice! happy og'ing!

I wouldn't have thought that if the birdseed is ingested by your birds it would harm a dog. Most dogs are great scavengers in my experience, but mine (who are both hogs) wouldn't touch birdseed. But you may want to rethink the location? Do you think that the dogs might scare the birds away?

Birdseed isn't going to hurt the dogs any. I agree with candle, you might want to put the feeders where they won't be so close to the dogs. The birds I see in my yard won't get anywhere near where the dog is. I see birds in my front yard, but rarely out back near the dog.
