I'm finding piles of round, lightly colored pellets about a centimeter in diameter around my house. I've never noticed them before, but I'm hoping they are squirrel poop. Can help anybody identify?

My guess would be rabbit poop, least that's what I get the most of around here. Don't you ever see any of the critters?

Yes, squirrels and rabbits. Based on the number of "piles" I've been finding, I was hoping that I didn't actually have the army of rabbits it would take to produce in such quantities. Oh well...

Squirrel droppings (at least the ones I have seen) are smaller than those of a rabbit. I've never found any appreciable quantity of squirrel dung in any one place. I agree with the rabbit theory (they are very active at night) unless there are deer in your area -- then I would suspect them. Regular use by either rabbit or deer will leave you with large quantities of droppings.
