I own a small organic nursery in Dallas, TX and I would love to offer a plot of land located within the property for a community garden. I've distributed flyers at the local area apartment complexes and mentioned it to some of the folks that stop by the store. Does anyone have any further guidance as to how I should go about getting this launched?
Also, anyone have any guidelines for any kind of "rules", etc. I'm new to this idea but would love to share the land with those who don't have access to a garden - and teach the organic methods, too! Thanks! Marie Eden's Organic Garden Center |

Welcome to the OG forum, Marie.
I haven't had any CG experience myself, but my daughter is involved in a Community Garden in her city. Here's a link to a garden association that may be helpful to you: http://www.communitygarden.org/ Good luck with this admirable project. Hi Marie,
Good for you! That you own an organic nursery and that you want to develop a community garden! This link to another OG thread provides lots of info., including at least two links to Web sites about community gardening. Community gardening link Best of luck! Thank you both so much! I've gone to the .org site and downloaded some info already! I am new to this OG forum community. Had I the time, I'm guessing I'd have run into that string sooner or later - ya'll saved me the trouble! Thanks again.
