I have watered nothing but the potted plants this season. Plenty of rain. Everything is going crazy, looks like a jungle out there. I've never had pepper plants this tall.
As of the end of June we had about 24 inches of rain, in July so far about 5 inches. Way plenty.

Haven't watered since last week due to constant rain. Today's storm dumped a huge amount of rain as a violent storm ripped across the border from New Hampshire in to Maine. All my corn is flattened, facing all directions. Our tornado watch seems to have ended, along with most of the rain.
But across the border in NH they had it much worse with houses flattened and one person dead as her house collapsed on top of her.
My corn will grow back next year.

Had 3" as of late this afternoon. I'll see if anything comes in overnight before I empty the rain guage.
Heard preliminary numbers out of NH of 12 houses destroyed, 100 seriously damaged. Sounds like this one will get confirmed as a tornado and not just microbursts like we see more often.
Too bad about that area and your's Wayne -- while it rained a lot, the storm was fairly tame down here. About 3pm yesterday I did shutdown my computers...dishes in my cabinets began to rattle from the thunder, but it was almost all just cloud-to-cloud lightning.
Possible rain is not rain. If we went by possible rain, I wouldn't have to water either. However I'm delighted, thrilled and appreciative in saying that we got nearly an inch early yesterday morning. Got 2 whole days off watering! Will probably have to water again tomorrow as we were so dry it's pretty much disappearing already. Grass is still pretty brown but weeds are perking right up.
Sorry about y'all who are getting too much. Just send excess to north central North Dakota, ok?
We had a lot of rain yesterday. Looked as if someone were emptying a bucket over us, it was coming down in sheets. My yogurt cup/rainguage has run over, so we had more than 3 inches. My plants appear to have stood up pretty well to it.
