Hi Ellen, Since it is a bean, It will probably do best grown from seed. Wait until your friends plant is loaded with bean pods and ask her to save some of the dry pods for you. Hey, maybe rooting will work. Did your friend buy a purchased plant or did she grow it from seed? I have plenty of seed if you want some for an SASE! It will grow and bloom all summer! I save seed every year and always get lots of requests for it.
