I am posting some pics of my Nanking Cherry bush. I thought you may enjoy seeing these if you have ever wondered about Nanking Cherries?

These are just loaded with blooms in the spring, and then if the frost doesn't kill the blossoms, each blossom produces a small cherry.

Plant a little seed...........

James, mine is just starting to burst into bloom. But it hasn't proven self-fertile. I have a second one which appears to be surviving, so hopefully, next year I'll have two in bloom. My one year old bush is just leafing out this year.

I love them - the cherries are sweet, though small, and not all stone like choke cherries.

Yours is gorgeous.

Cool! Thanks! I've got some bare-root seedlings on order for hand planting from the soil conservation folks. Hopefully I'll have bushes like that here in a few years! Nothing's blossomed here yet, though.
