Hello, After burning my potted kentia palms with chemicals then leaching the soil to repair the damage I've done, I've decided to go organic. I know they have special needs. I'm wondering if anyone has a good organic recipe that will keep them happy. Can I overdo it with organic stuff like kelp meal and dolomitic lime and green sand and blood and bone meal? Right now I'm just sort of throwing organic stuff at them trying to cure some problems. Can someone help? Thanks Debbie
Gardeners Suppy in Burlington Vermont(they are on the internet) has a good, organic product for houseplants, seedlings, transplants that I use. Or can you just get fish and seaweed emulsion and dilute that? I buy mine just at a garden center. A little goes a long way. Neptunes Garden. About those palms...roots burned off? Maybe you should re-pot into new really good potting mix . And use only well diluted organic fertilizer in the future.

Yes, I thought of repotting them and starting over but it's getting late in the fall and I don't know if it's a good idea to disturb them now. I was kinda trying to wait till spring to do this. Thanks for all the good ideas. Debbie.
Rather than using animal protein products, I use plant protein products. My favorites are corn meal and alfalfa pellets. I use one heaping handful of each on each of my roses and my lemon tree every month.
